Scented Nail Vanish.

Would You Wear Scented Nail Polish?!

WITH so many nail polishes, gels, wraps and accessories on offer, i do enjoy a twist on the familiar when i see it - or smell it, in the case of Revlon's Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel collection. Arriving here this spring from the US, the polishes are painted on as normal and reveal a light fragrance to match their hue once dried.
The 20 polishes are split into three fragrance camps. Fruits and Florals includes the bold China Flower, Orange Blossom and Pink Pineapple; Sweets and Spices centres around nudes, neutrals and molten metallics fragranced with the likes of Espresso, Autumn Spice and Italian Leather; and the soft Freshes collection includes the subtle Fresh Linen, Lavender Soap and Wintermint shades. Revlon's global artistic director, Gucci Westman, even designed the bottles to look like miniature perfume flacons.
A gimmick, or the future of nail polish? They're not going to revolutionise the way we wear fragrance, but they're certainly fun - and there's no denying that the scents are preferable to the strong smell of chemicals we'd normally expect.

Available from March at Boots stores, priced at £6.49 each.

Perfume - Personal Favourites.

Personal Favourites..

Perfume..

Juicy Couture - Viva La Juicy - 100ml/£60.99
For juicy girls that like to flirt and have fun. You don't demand attention; you command it with your fun spirit and alluring charm. Made from a delightful mix of mandarin orange, wild berries, honeysuckle, gardenia and creamy amber, Viva La Juicy
is crisp, fun and flirty

Vera Wang - Lovestruck - 100ml/£95.00
Vera Wang Lovestruck represents an irresistible romance and captures the feeling of a woman who is struck by love and captivated by passion.
There’s an instant attraction to the mouth-watering pink guava and mandarin which is followed by a delicate mix of tuberose and lotus blossom. Behind it all, precious woods and sheer musk combine to create a passionate elegance.

Lolita Lempicka - L - 30ml/£23.99
Bitter Orange. The salty and spicy notes of everlasting flower merge at the heart with the sensuous and woody notes of musks and cinnamon bark. It leaves a sweeping wake of vanilla that lingers, underscored by mellow tonka bean and mysore sandalwood. A bargain for how gorgeous this scent is.

Versace - Crystal Noir - 50ml/53.50
Versace Crystal Noir Eau De Parfum 50ml. A magical fragrance, ethereal yet carnal. The jewel like bottle is inspired by the facets of a diamond. Made of garnet glass, it is understated but sumptuous. A floral scent composed of gardenia, blended with amber. Which creates a wonderful contradiction, like two sides of every woman: sweet and sensual, earthy and sophisticated. This is my personal best, the scent is heavy and great with evening wear.

Collar DIY.

Embellished Collar.. DIY

Collars and embellished collars have been making their rounds on the internet and blogs for the past couple of years now. I think we can point our fingers at Mui Mui and there pretty pink & swallow collars for starting the trend. But because I thought I saw so many refashioned collars and collar necklaces floating around, I purposely did not do a DIY for one. You know I don't like to be a copycat. Apparently however, a look 4 Less reader was on the hunt for a DIY embellished collar and couldn't find any that suited her. So I offered a hand and thought I'd give it my own spin using faux pearls, vintage rhinestone earrings & buttons, as well as vintage aurora borealis beads from an old broken necklace. Rather than cluttering up the entire collar though, I created a pretty visual pattern that begins on one side and ends on the other.

*NOTE* Once embellished, your shirt will have to be dry-cleaned or carefully hand-washed and hung dry. It's the price you pay for fashion you can also choose to remove your collar entirely from the rest of the blouse and wear it as a necklace of sorts, pairing it with any outfit you like.

Heres What You'll Need...

* A blouse with a nice collar. Mine is blush/pink that I found at a thrift shop, with a nice sturdy collar that will keep its shape even with the weight of the embellishments.

* Faux pearls in 2-3 sizes. I also used a craft strand to save a little time. Rhinestone buttons, beads, earrings... whatever you like really, that you can hand-stitch on.

* Needle/Thread/Scissors
Steps..

* First, visually lay out your largest pearls or precious findings. Other than the vintage rhinestone earrings dangling from the ends, I chose not to match the two sides. Carefully hand stitch each into place {but not onto your shirt below}

* Using medium sized pearls or beads, begin filling in the spaces in between. Then with the smallest beads or pearls, filling in the even smaller spaces.

* Adding large, medium, and small beads, pearls, and rhinestones gives it depth and texture.

* Continue overlapping and filling in the blanks until you have a finished look you are pleased with.

Perfect!

Lifestyle.. Future Planning.

Slighty stunned..
A friend of mine asked if she could ask me a question and if i answer i should only reply truthfully..  she was drawn to the flowers on the desk with a strange look upon her pale face, you can only imagine i was in fear of what she was about to ask me, eager to know i hurried her words by asking what it is she wanted me to answer.. she replied with 'What age are you looking to settle down Kel?' .. slightly random but was quite relieved that it was only that she wanted to ask, all sorts of things was going through my head, at that point i didn't know what to say..

Does everyone have a life plan? Does everyone have everything planned for the rest of their lives?
Am i the only one thats not planned anything? Should i make a plan? What should my life plan include exactly? Do i have to choose what and when now? What if i make a plan and it doesn't go the way i planned, what then?

Yeah so that was my thoughts within five seconds of her asking me the question..
So, my question for all is the obvious.. Do you have a life plan & what will you do if doesn't go the way you wish?

Christmas Spirit!

Excited for Christmas?

Yes, its that time of year again..

The time of year when everyone gets together and appreciates the company around them with a huge grin, wether its listening to your nan moan about the little ones running riot with new noisy toys they've had from Santa or the piles of wrapping paper shredded around the tree.
Those days christmas shopping for the perfect gift, the indecisive side of you that comes out only at this time of year, i'm sure most of you agree its an absolute nightmare trying to get a loved one something special, something they will keep & cherish.. wether it be bought or handmade by yourself.

For me, in my hometown every year we have the German Market come to Birmingham City Centre sometime early November, a big market spread up amongst the lights of New Street, selling crafts.. handmade candles and beautiful wooden toys.

Spread the Christmas Spirit! :)

Best Acne Treatments

Tips for the successful treatment of acne.

Many people struggle with acne, often for years after the customary teenage breakouts are expected to trail off. The treatment of acne is certainly not a new issue, and more advanced remedies are introduced all the time. But it can seem like a losing battle when the potions and lotions on the market offer little to no help; the key is to know what ingredients to look for and what approach will work best for you.
While you may be convinced that a specific topical cream, oral supplement or fabric is your best chance for clear skin, keep an open mind and explore a few different options before settling on a particular method. The best acne treatments for you may come as a surprise, and some of the popular commercial brands out there may do more harm than good. Learn how to treat acne safely and effectively with some sound advice.
Acne Medication To Try..

It can be near impossible to keep up with all of the acne treatments out there, and it's an expensive venture to test them all for yourself. However, there are a few products that have gained excellent reviews, and you may be surprised that some of the best are also some of the most natural products. ProNexin, for example, is one of the most effective brands of topical treatment. It uses a chemical-free formula with natural ingredients in place of harsh cleansers. Oxycerin is another favorite among acne sufferers and dermatologists alike—it uses tea tree oil instead of benzoyl peroxide, which fights blemishes without the irritating side effects.
Now, if you want a notably luxurious experience, opt for the Asso Gold Cleansing Bar. It actually contains tiny 24k gold flakes to penetrate the pores and kill acne-causing bacteria quickly, so you can expect to pay quite a bit more for this remedy than you would for an over-the-counter cream! Of course, every cream, soap and medication will claim to rid you of acne forever, so read labels closely and pay attention to money-back guarantees; since different treatments may work for different people, those that offer a money-back guarantee are better choices than those that don't.
Home Remedys For Acne..

A topical acne treatment will focus on cleansing, exfoliating and toning the skin. Oatmeal and glycerin soaps are good choices for cleansers, citrus fruit is acidic enough to exfoliate the skin and witch hazel is a good natural toner. Other herbs and tinctures that may help fight off pimples include mint, aloe vera and nettle; these plants have anti-inflammatory properties, though they must be prepared properly and with care to ensure you don't harm your skin.
While there's no definitive link between acne and food, many people blame their breakouts on certain ingredients or styles of cooking. The culprit could be food allergies, in which case the easiest way to combat acne is to eliminate those foods from your diet. Nuts, gluten and chocolate are among the usual suspects, which may be due to the specific chemicals and indigestible molecules they contain.
Although food allergens can be the root cause of acne, it may be more accurate to blame your diet and lifestyle as a whole. It is widely believed that what is good for your health is bad for your acne, so it follows that a well-balanced diet rich in nutrients and low in fat, along with regular exercise, will lead to a clearer complexion. An overly acidic diet or one high in refined sugars will also disrupt the way your body works, and stress will only compound the problem

hope this helps,

Contouring

How To Get Grips Of.. Contouring.

It may be one of beauty’s most enduring looks, but contouring remains the one tricky make-up look that most of us have tried but few of us have mastered.
From the contoured eye to that beautiful cheekbone (think Kim Kardashian for the full on effect), what always looks so easy on a super model on the catwalk rarely translates into reality for those of us who try it at home. So for the real low down on how to get this look right, here is our guide to fool-proof face contouring.

The One-step Contour:

Take a tip from the make-up pros and forget about all that tricky shading under the hollow of the cheekbone (the truth is it works for evening but rarely for daytime) and concentrate just on highlighting your face. A favourite A-lister Red Carpet trick (they always want their skin to look naturally fresh and dewy), the ‘Hollywood Contour’ is about only using a glitter-free sheen or light shimmer in a C-shape from the brow bone, around to the top of the cheek bone. The secret is to then bend it in (a fluffy brush works best) so it looks like glowy skin, not glittery make-up.

The Easy Eye Contour:

Now you’ve mastered the intricacies of the cheek contour, the final touch is on the eye to get that beautiful up-date on the Sixties inspired look (think everyone from Marilyn to Twiggy). Daniel suggests choosing a matte shadow, one to two shades darker than your skin tone so you get that natural shadow rather than eye shadow effect.
“Find the area just above your eye socket (the bone above the eyelid creases) and using a small eyeshadow brush, blend the shadow working from the outer corner inward,” explains Sandler, across the bone.
